The weekend approaches and there is plenty on the slate for Madill student-athletes.

The varsity football team opens the home slate with a game against Marietta Friday at 7:30 p.m. It will be military/first responder appreciation night at Blake Smiley Stadium. All military veterans enter the game for free. Several branches of the military will be present with merchandise, booths and games for kids. The Madill Fire Department will display an American Flag on the east end of Alumni Field. The National Guard will have a special presentation for the Star-Spangled Banner. Local law enforcement agencies will have vehicles lined up along the west end of Alumni Field for the evening. Madill is 41-24 since 1946 against Marietta. The Wildcats have won the last eight straight contests. Madill won the most recent meeting in 2020, 42-14. Before last season, it had been since 2011 that the two teams played. That was a 42-14 victory for Madill. The 2021 Madill-Marietta game is expected to be streaming on Madill’s Livestream. Click Here to Watch Madill is 2-0 on the season. That last time Madill was 3-0 was in 2012.
