The Madill football team is unblemished through the non-district slate for first time since 2012. They shut out Marietta 51-0 Friday.
Madill got on the board first with a 3-yard touchdown run by Kendall Robertson. Jimena Guevara kicked a field goal to stretch Madill’s advantage to 9-0 in the first quarter. Nick Northcutt hauled in a 28-yard pass from Robertson to build the ‘Cats’ lead to 16-0 by halftime.
Madill piled on the points in the third frame. Holden McGahey had a six-yard score, Robertson scored on a 54-yard jaunt and Zeke Fuentes return his interception for a score.
Reagan Combs posted the last score of the night in the fourth quarter.
The Wildcats are averaging 48.6 points per game while holding opponents to 10.6 points per contest.
Madill has a bye next Friday. The return to action Sept. 24 for homecoming against the Dickson Comets.
