Books. Books can transport the reader to another place and time. They can create lasting images that paint the picture of important stories for educational and entertainment purposes. Those images can be made more vivid if those words are spoken and those stories are audibly heard. So, the leadership class at Madill High School under the direction of Ronnie Miller, decided to read books to classes at the early childhood center this week.
"The Leadership class thought of some ideas of how we could act as leaders in our community and school,” Miller said. “One of the ways the class decided on was to read a book to classes of the ECC."
The leadership class brought those stories to life for students in kindergarten and pre-k rooms.
"We appreciate Mrs. Cox and the teachers at the ECC for allowing these students to show their leadership in our school," Miller said.
Kaylee, Christian, Kimber, Satvik, Luke, Isaiah, Marcus, Tianah and Emmaleigh comprise the leadership class.
They have future plans to visit the first grade classes to connect through reading.
