XC Girls Hold Steady at No. 8; Sanchez 11th; Football Remains in Top 10, XC Boys Still in Top 25

The Madill cross country girls team holds steady at No. 8 in the latest poll released by OHStrack.com and the boys drop one notch to No. 23 in Class 4A ahead of the Waurika meet on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. Isabel Sanchez has the 11th best time of the season as an individual with her 12:36.17 she posted at the Marietta meet. 

“Isabel has been running well this year, about where she was at this time last year,” Madill cross country head coach Cale Eidson said. “However, she’s even more determined and focused than ever before.”

The football team slipped two spots but remains at No. 10 in the most recent AP high school poll. Madill hosts No. 9 Plainview (3-2) on Friday at 7 p.m. inside Blake Smiley Stadium on Alumni  Field.
