Zang Sang Way to Next Round of All-state Choir Auditions; Three Involved in Honor Choir

Madill’s Abby Zang advanced to a second round of all-state choir auditions through the first round of auditions held at East Central University in Ada Oct. 30. The second round of auditions are slated for Nov. 13 on the campus of the University of Central Oklahoma. If she passes through those auditions, she will be in the all-state choir in January of 2022.

Madill students Jenna Mendiola, Citlaly Fernandez, Alyssa Ly, Alexandria Stufflebeem, Claire Hartin, Vincent McQueary, Molly Coleman, Yarrel Torres, Abby Zang, Christa Ross, Kimberlyn Willis, Olivea Patino, Kenzie Mathis and Taylor DeWitt also auditioned at East Central last Saturday.

Earlier this fall, Madill vocalists Molly Coleman, Mason Shinn and Zang performed in the Southeast District Honor Choir at Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant.

The Madill vocal music teacher is Samantha Faulkner.
