Robertson Awarded Scholarship Check from Tishomingo Chevrolet in Recognition of A+ Athlete Pick

Joel Northcutt of Tishomingo Chevrolet presented Madill’s Kendall Robertson a scholarship check Tuesday afternoon in the high school library in recognition of being selected as KXII-TV A+ Athlete Oct. 29.

Kendall has helped lead the Wildcats’ football team to an overall 6-4 mark in 2021. It was the first winning record for Madill in five years.

"Kendall is very deserving of this recognition. He is an outstanding young man and represents Madill Schools like we would want any young man to represent our school," Madill athletics director Brett Weiberg said Tuesday afternoon. "He is a leader, he is a competitor, and he takes pride in everything that he does. All of our coaches are lucky that we've been able to coach Kendall and we look forward to following him for the remainder of this year and we know that he will go on and do great things in the future."

Northcutt highlighted Robertson’s resume prior to the presentation. Robertson is a member of the National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and volunteers at the early childhood center when away from the various sports arenas. Robertson will be an honor graduate in May of 2022. He plays basketball in winter and soccer in spring for the ‘Cats.

“He (Kendall Robertson) has represented our school as well as anyone possibly could,” Madill football head coach Chad Speer said Tuesday afternoon.  “As someone with young kids, they couldn't have a better role model than Kendall Robertson when it comes to work ethic, how he treats people, and how he represents his school and family. It doesn't get much better.”
