Jayden Weiberg won homecoming queen and Zeke Fuentes was named king during the Madill-Sulphur basketball games Friday. The boys beat Sulphur 47-35 to extend the winning streak to 11 games. However, the girls lost 54-43.
Weiberg received recognition for reach 1,000 points scored in her high school career and in the process has broken the three-point baskets made in a career for Lady ‘Cats basketball. She has the new mark which began at 178 tonight and will continue to increase through her senior year. The former mark was held by Meagan Carter Rose (144). Weiberg was awarded a basketball created by Madill art teacher Lacy Blackburn.
